UEE31411 - Certificate III in Security Equipment

This quali­fication is designed for people who want to work in the electronic security equipment area of the Security industry. To succeed in this course you need to be technically minded with a hands-on approach and an ability to think outside the square. Applicants should be able to use hand tools and have a basic knowledge, or past experience using electronic/computer applications. 

This quali­fication will provide you with the skills and knowledge

required to install security systems, closed circuit television (CCTV) and associated cabling. This quali­fication will also cover advanced system applications such as: 

·         Access Control 
·         Biometrics
·         IP Systems
·         Building Automation
·         Cabling Techniques (ACMA Open Rule)
·         Optical Fibre Endorsements
·         Coaxial Endorsements
·         Structured Cabling Endorsements  

This quali­fication consists of two stages. Stage 1 is face to face training within a simulated work environment. The duration of this stage is 50 days (400 hours face to face), Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5pm. On successful completion of Stage 1 you will then complete Stage 2. Stage 2 is a Practical Placement component of 15 days (120 hours) of on the job experience with a Security Equipment company, organised by Complex Institute of Education.
